About Rockies Venture Club’s Angel Capital Summit (ACS)
Now in its 11th year, Rockies Venture Club’s Angel Capital Summit (ACS) has become Colorado’s largest angel investing event. ACS is a two-day celebration of startups, investors and big ideas, with 300-400 participants. This year, ACS will focus on the tidal Waves of Innovation and their impact on the investment landscape: Learning from prior waves, riding current waves to their crest, and anticipating future waves that we should be looking out for.
Addressing prior and future aves is our Keynote Speaker for the first day of the conference; Divya Narendra. Divya is Founder and CEO of SumZero, a leading investor platform, and co-founded ConnectU with the Winklevoss twins, which was the inspiration for Facebook. Through a Fireside Chat, Divya will be discussing what he and his partners saw early on ahead of the Social Wave in the early 2000s, and parallels he sees today in innovative technologies, like Blockchain.
On Day Two of ACS, we’ll have another Keynote Speaker in Andre Durand, the founder and CEO of Colorado’s Ping Identity. Andre successfully led Ping Identity to a $600M+ acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in 2016. He will be talking to the current innovation happening within the CyberSecurity space, and the heights to which the Security Wave may headed.
In addition to these incredible thought leaders, ACS will feature ample networking and social opportunities, a panel dedicated to the Blockchain Wave, and 24 companies presenting to the audience in an effort to raise capital through the RVC investment syndicates. The ACS also celebrates Colorado’s University Entrepreneurship Programs with the University Startup Challenge, featuring the top student entrepreneur teams from Colorado’s Universities. Past ACS presenters have gone on to raise $10’s of millions of dollars in funding and are growing Colorado’s economy. Who will the winners be this year?
